ComicDrive — The Modern Comic Book & Manga Reader for Android

Your comics, wherever you keep them. ComicDrive reads CBZ, CBR and PDF from your phone, your cloud folders, your NAS and your comic server. Free, with every feature included — no subscription, no account.

🔍 PANEL BY PANEL
• Tap Panels in the reader and the view glides from panel to panel, zoomed right in
• Read a full comic page on a phone screen, one panel at a time
• Panels are found on your device, nothing is uploaded
• Set the pace, the zoom and how much the rest of the page is dimmed

📂 READ FROM ANYWHERE
• Local storage and SD card
• Cloud folders through Android's storage framework — Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and more
• Network shares over SMB, FTP and SFTP — read straight from your NAS
• OPDS catalogs: Komga, Kavita, Calibre-Web — stream page by page without downloading
• Progress on comics from Komga and Kavita is sent back to your server
• Catalogs behind Cloudflare Access or a proxy that needs custom request headers
Files stream from the source and are cached on your device for smooth reading.

🇯🇵 MADE FOR MANGA
• Right-to-left reading direction
• Webtoon mode with seamless vertical scrolling
• Double-page spreads on tablets and foldables, with a one-page shift when spreads pair up wrong
• Reader settings can be overridden per comic

⚡ SMART READING
• Automatic reading progress — pick up right where you left off
• The last page offers the next issue of the series
• Turn pages while zoomed in: the next page keeps the zoom
• Pinch and double-tap zoom, tap zones and volume-button page turns
• A slideshow that turns the pages for you
• Automatic margin cropping for scanned pages
• Bookmarks with notes and colors

📚 ORGANIZE YOUR COLLECTION
• The start screen leads with the comic you are reading, followed by Recently added
• Series detected automatically from file names and ComicInfo.xml
• Rename, merge and split series, set the reading order and pick any page as a cover
• Finished comics carry a check mark on their cover; mark many as read or unread at once
• Search, sorting, filters, grid or list view and a folder view
• Categories and favorites
• Hide issues you don't want to see — without deleting them
• Stays fast with large collections

🎨 IMAGE FILTERS
• Sepia, grayscale, high contrast and night mode
• Manual brightness, contrast and saturation
• Light and true-black dark mode

🔒 PRIVACY AND CONTROL
• No account needed; your library and reading progress are stored on your device
• App lock with PIN or biometrics
• Backup and restore your library, reading progress and bookmarks, also automatically on a schedule

📖 SUPPORTED FORMATS
CBZ, CBR, CB7 and CBT comic archives plus PDF. Plain ZIP and RAR files work too, and so do comics packed as archives inside an archive.

💛 FREE FOR EVERYONE
Every feature is included for everyone. The optional supporter purchase unlocks nothing: it removes the bar on the start screen and funds development. A future version will show a small ad in that bar; supporters never see ads.

🌍 Available in 29 languages.

Whether you read superhero comics, manga, webtoons or graphic novels: ComicDrive is the CBZ reader, CBR reader and PDF comic reader that puts your collection first.
